02 · The resort & venue
Choose for the Whole Celebration.
We help you compare resort atmosphere, room choices, adults-only or family-friendly policies, guest travel needs, and available wedding venues.
Ask about venue capacity, privacy, accessibility, weather alternatives, event rules, and wedding-date availability. A photograph alone cannot confirm that a resort is the right fit.
03 · Packages & the resort team
Understand What’s Included—and Who Handles It.
Resort wedding packages have specific inclusions, conditions, and optional extras. We help connect you with the resort wedding team and keep travel arrangements aligned with the celebration plans.
JDTA’s Travel Planning Role
Destination and resort guidance, room-block coordination, guest reservations, transfers, travel communication, and preparation within your agreed service scope.
Your Resort Wedding Team
The resort team confirms its ceremony and reception arrangements, package inclusions, on-property event services, menus, setup, and venue requirements. Separate planners and vendors remain responsible for their contracted services.
04 · Room blocks & contracts
Give Your Guests a Clear Booking Path.
We help evaluate group accommodation options and explain the room-block proposal, booking instructions, and important dates. Deposits, room categories, minimums, attrition, cancellation terms, and payment deadlines depend on the actual supplier contract.
Before committing, review what is reserved, who is responsible for each payment, and what happens if the group changes. A room block does not override an individual reservation’s terms.
05 · Milestones & celebration logistics
Know What Comes Next.
We help organize travel-related milestones so wedding dates, room-block decisions, guest booking deadlines, arrivals, and departure plans stay connected.
Your resort wedding team or separately contracted planner manages its wedding production timeline, vendor approvals, design decisions, and event execution. We coordinate relevant travel information with those partners within the agreed scope.

Support for the People Coming With You.
Reservations
Guests receive their own booking and payment guidance for arrangements handled through JDTA. Supplier terms and confirmed availability apply.
Arrivals & Transfers
We help coordinate confirmed transfer arrangements and communicate the relevant arrival information and contacts.
Travel Preparation
Clear reminders and travel guidance help guests prepare. Passport, entry, and legal requirements must be confirmed for each traveler’s circumstances.

Some couples need additional help with wedding details, vendor communication, final preparations, or support at the destination. Explore our dedicated coordination service, available to couples who booked through JDTA, directly with a resort, or through another travel professional.
On-site attendance is separately arranged, subject to destination, date, availability, and an agreed written scope. Coordination complements the resort team and does not automatically replace its responsibilities.

A Little Clarity Before You Begin.
When should we start planning?
Start early enough to compare resorts, check wedding-date availability, and give guests time to plan. The right timeline depends on your destination, dates, group, and supplier availability.
How do you help us choose the resort?
We compare your priorities with resort policies, guest travel needs, room options, venues, and availability. We’ll discuss practical questions before you commit; social media imagery alone cannot establish the right fit.
Can we include children and guests with different budgets?
Yes. Tell us who you hope will attend, along with budget considerations and accessibility requests. We’ll explore suitable options and identify limitations; specific accommodations and requests require supplier confirmation.
What is a destination wedding room block?
It is an agreement for group accommodations under specified supplier terms. We help review the proposal and booking process. Room inventory, rates, minimums, deposits, and obligations vary by contract.
When do guests pay, and what if someone cancels?
Deposits, balances, cancellation rules, and room-block obligations follow the actual supplier contract and reservation. Guests receive their own booking and payment instructions. Planning fees follow the signed service agreement.
How is JDTA different from the resort wedding coordinator?
JDTA guides destination and resort selection and manages the agreed travel services. The resort wedding team manages its contracted wedding package and on-property event services. We work alongside that team; additional wedding coordination has a separately agreed scope.
Will Jeni attend our wedding?
On-site support may be arranged depending on your destination, wedding date, availability, and needs. Attendance requires a separate written agreement and is not automatic with travel planning.
